01Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how Kavixa Technologies LLC (“Kavixa”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a Missouri limited liability company, handles personal information when you visit kavixatech.com (the “Site”), join our waitlist, contact us, become a client, or use a mobile app we publish (together, the “Services”).
When we build websites or apps for clients, the client decides how personal information of its own users is handled. In that case we act as a service provider on the client’s behalf, and the client’s privacy policy applies to that information.
02Information we collect
Information you give us
- Waitlist: your email address, an optional first name, the topic you are interested in, and a record of your consent.
- Inquiries and client projects: your name, business name, email address, phone number if you provide it, and the project details and materials you share with us.
- Billing: billing name, business address and invoice history. Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the date and time of requests. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting.
- Essential cookie: a single session cookie used to protect our forms against abuse. See “Cookies” below.
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account credentials, precise geolocation, health information or biometric data through the Site.
03How we use information
We use personal information only to:
- add you to the waitlist and send you waitlist, early-access and launch updates you asked for;
- reply to your questions and prepare proposals;
- deliver, support and invoice client projects;
- operate, secure and improve the Site and our apps, including preventing spam and abuse;
- comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations, and enforce our agreements.
We do not use personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
06We do not sell personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not use waitlist emails for any purpose other than the updates you requested.
07Our mobile apps
Each of our apps shows its data practices on its App Store product page (“App Privacy” details). Our apps are designed to collect only the data required for their features.
- Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple. We receive limited transaction information from Apple, such as the subscription status and renewal date, but not your name, payment card details or billing address.
- If an app offers optional features such as crash reporting or cloud sync, the app will describe them and, where required, ask for your permission.
- Our apps do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
08How long we keep information
- Waitlist: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or 24 months after the related app launches, whichever comes first.
- Inquiries: up to 24 months after our last communication if no project follows.
- Client and billing records: for as long as needed to provide the services and as required by tax and accounting laws, generally up to seven years.
- Server logs: according to our hosting provider’s standard retention, typically no more than 90 days.
09How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, restricted storage locations and keeping software up to date. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected individuals of a data breach as required by applicable law.
10Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other US states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:
- know and access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information;
- receive a portable copy of your personal information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising (we do not do either);
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
Residents of Canada may request access to and correction of their personal information and may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
To make a request, email privacy@kavixatech.com. We will confirm your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity, usually by confirming control of the email address we hold. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof of their authority. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to the appeal within the time required by law.
We extend these rights to all users, regardless of where they live, to the extent reasonably possible.
11Global Privacy Control
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because we do not sell or share personal information, no further action is needed on your part.
12Children’s privacy
The Site and our client services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
13Where information is stored
We are based in the United States, and information we collect is stored and processed in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
14Email communications
We only send marketing-style emails, such as waitlist and launch updates, to people who asked to receive them. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly, in line with the CAN-SPAM Act and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We may still send you transactional messages related to an active project or invoice.
15Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the effective date on this page and, for material changes, provide notice through the Site or by email before the change takes effect.
